Ankita & Hassan

Ankita & Hassan-Cinematic Highlight from Russell John Films on Vimeo.

A fusion of three cultures created one beautiful wedding day for Ankita and Hassan on July 18, 2016. The celebration included Pakistani, Indian and American  nuptial traditions.

The elaborate and meaningful proposal – July 18th holds special meaning for the couple not only because it is their wedding date, but also because it is the day Hassan proposed to Ankita a year earlier. Hassan put together an elaborate plan to get Ankita to meet him at Millennium Park in Chicago. She was sent on a scavenger hunt that lead her to get her nails done and a beautiful outfit for the occasion. On her way to the park she watched a 40 minute video of their family members all over the world telling her to say yes. Once she arrived to the park they were surrounded by family and a guitarist playing their favorite song. Hassan got down on one knee and Ankita said yes!

Celebrations began at Bombay Restauranta very popular venue in San Diego.

Guests were treated to a gorgeous reception which included a presentation of Ankita and Hassan’s memories together.

The reception incorporated many Indian traditions. It was a joyous occasion!

The ceremony that followed took place at the Carmel Mountain Ranch Country Club. The couple shared a special first look before their vows.

During the ceremony the couple released two white doves. It was a true symbol of love and a beautiful moment for all who experienced it.

The reception featured gorgeous decor. It was the perfect scenery for Ankita and Hasssan to celebrate their marriage with family and friends.

A big thank you to Ankita and Hassan for inviting us to be a part of such a gorgeous wedding celebration. We wish you many years of love and happiness!

The Creative Proposal – Philip proposed to Yolanda while they were wine tasting in Napa. After convincing Yolanda to bring her iPad to dinner, Philip pretended to take photographs with it. When he handed the iPad back to Yolanda, there was a video playing. Yolanda started to cry when she realized that, in the video, Philip had recreated all their first dates. By the end of the video Philip was down on one knee and the rest is history!

Annie & Maclain – Cinematic Highlight from Russell John Films on Vimeo.

“Annie and Maclain, look at one another and remember this moment in time. Shortly, you’ll say a few words that will take you across the threshold of life and things between you will never be quite the same again. For after today you’ll say, this is my husband and this is my wife.” – Annie and Maclain said “I do” at L’Auberge Del Mar on October 15, 2016.

Located in the heart of Del Mar, this popular venue offers a breathtaking view of the Pacific Ocean. Annie and Maclain chose to hold their ceremony at the Pacific Terrace, the perfect spot to recite their vows.

The love between these two could be felt throughout the entire day.  There was not a dry eye in sight by the end of the ceremony.

When speaking his vows, Maclain quoted lines from the poem “The Passionate Shepard to His Love,” by Christopher Marlowe.

“I carry your heart with me, I carry it in my heart. I am never without it.” – Annie expressed her love for Maclain through a poem by E.E. Cummings.

Nicolette & Michael’s Elegant Outdoor Wedding

Nicolette & Michael-Cinematic Highlight from Russell John Films on Vimeo.

It was like a scene out of a movie watching Nicolette and Michael during their wedding sparkler send-off. The pair tied the the knot at The Crossings at Carlsbad on April 30, 2016.

The proposal – Michael took Nicolette on a romantic hike through the Torrey Pines reserve, an activity they enjoyed often. They followed a trail that led to the beach and walked along the waters edge. Suddenly, Michael handed Nicolette a stack of new business cards. She looked at the cards confused until she noticed her last name on the card was changed to Michael’s last name. She was so excited that she doesn’t remember saying yes, but Michael assures that she did!

Their love can even be seen in the tiniest of details. On the reverse side of Michael’s tie is a love note that reads “Michael, you are all I could ever want and I love you. Love, Nikki.”

Michael’s first look at his bride is priceless!

You can see the excitement for the vows that were to follow.

We often hear newlyweds say that they wish they could relive their wedding day over again. Luckily, Shannon and Sameer were able to do just that during their two-day wedding celebration. Tiffany & Bart – Love at First Sight

Tiffany & Bart-Cinematic Highlight from Russell John Films on Vimeo.

Tiffany and Bart tied the knot on November 19th at  Falkner Winery in Temecula, California. We don’t think the happy couple could of asked for a better sunset on their special day.

The duo met while watching a romantic sunset at a restaurant, they both admitted it was love at first sight.

The Proposal: Bart popped the question while on a trip to visit Tiffany’s family in Tennessee. He got down on one knee at the Grand Ole Opry Hotel and completely surprised Tiffany. Of course, she said yes!

Tiffany shared a special moment with her grandfather as he walked her down the aisle. Her bouquet was made by Magnolia Flower shoppe.

Surrounded by family and friends, Alexis & Leland tied the knot on September 3rd, 2016 at Mt. Palomar Winery in Temecula. The love between these two could be felt throughout the entire ceremony and reception.

Leland proposed to Alexis in the very spot that their relationship blossomed in San Francisco. After a dinner date, Leland and Alexis ventured to the top of Lombard Street where they took in a beautiful view of the city. Leland asked a stranger to take their photo and as they posed for the photograph Leland got down on one knee. Luckily, the stranger caught on and captured the unforgettable proposal.

The bride and groom shared a special moment before the ceremony as Leland got to see his beautiful bride for the first time that day. You could see the excitement in their eyes for the vows that were to follow.

During the ceremony Alexis and Leland recited their own vows. “Alexis, I love that even though we’ve been together six years now, I still continue to find new reasons to fall in love with you everyday,” Leland admitted to his soon-to-be bride. “Leland, I am so lucky to be the woman that gets to spend the rest of my life with you,” Alexis spoke of her love for Leland.

Yvette and Michael’s Special Day

Yvette & Michael-Cinematic Highlight from Russell John Films on Vimeo.

On October 10th, 2016 Yvette and Michael declared their love for one another at Saint Patrick Catholic Parish in San Diego. There was not a dry eye in the church as the couple recited their personal vows.

Michael proposed to Yvette on their 10th anniversary together in Maui. As they walked hand in hand on an empty beach, Michael found the picture perfect moment to get down on one knee and ask Yvette for her hand in marriage.

Following the ceremony, a mariachi band  played music in celebration of the beautiful newlyweds. Mr. and Mrs. Weber cheered and rejoiced with family while they walked down the aisle together as husband and wife. It was truly a beautiful sight.

After the ceremony, the wedding party took a trolley to The Prado at Balboa Park for photos by Aizhan of True Photography. As Yvette and Michael posed for photographs, it was clear to see the bond they shared and the love in their hearts for one another.

The bridal party raises their stunning bouquets  by organic elements as Yvette and Michael kiss for the camera.
